Hi Don
I'm curious do you ever weight Don's Killer Rabbit
I have weighted the head of the fly before but never the body. Could be a good addition to the fly, since I don't think it matters how this fly rides in the water due to its equal proportions. Let me know if it works.
I really enjoy your show - fishing and especially the instruction. I just purchased a Flytying kit and will make the Rabbit Killer one of my first attempts at tying. I fish in Michigan rivers for trout/steelhead. Would this fly be good for Steelhead?
Hi Walt,
This fly works great for Steelhead tied in Purple and Pink instead of the Trout colors. Also tie this pattern in Black with a Blue collar.
Hi Don
Is this Fly ( Don's killer Rabbit) good for Pike or Bass in a dark water ( lake in province Of Quebec noth Laurentides)
And in the same time your show at WFN was very instructive , your Cuba serie help me to catch two dark Tuna in Panama this winter.
Thank you

I was really enjoying the show on the Kitimat River, but I kept thinking I knew you Don. After one minute on the computer voila. You are from Trail. I was one year younger than you, and graduated in 80. Anyways, awesome show! I thought you might be interested in doing a show in Fort St John area for large Lake Trout. Unfortunately, the only flies I use are bucktails with a dodger. Fishing Williston Lake can be incredible. I almost had Mark Pendlington come up to do a show, but when he found out I wasn't a professional guide he wasn't interested. Long story short, I love taking people out fishing, and hunting for fun. Our best Lake Trout,is a 26 lber. Best time to come up fishing, last week of May through the month of June. If you think you are interested, please let me know. FYI I won the grand prize in a photo contest with Angler Atlas. My photo had two ladies holding up a 20 and an 18 lber. It was the first fish the one lady had ever caught! The photo went on the cover of the Omineca Region. Okay, no more bragging lol.. Hope to hear back from you. Gerry Geiger <")))><
