| Hook: Dry Fly Size 16 to 12 Thread: 8/0 Black Shuck: Olive seal dubbing Body: Black fentex yarn Hackle: Black neck Wing: Fine elk hair |

Tie in a good base layer of thread. |

Tie in a small amount of green seal fur, at the hook bend, and pull out to excess to form a trailing shuck. |

Tie in a strand of black fentex. This will be used for the body later. |

Tie in a hackle, by the tip. This will be used to palmer the body later. |

Wrap fentex forward and form a thin body. |

Palmer hackle forward over body. |

Stack some elk hair and tie in for the wing. |

Trim excess elk hair to form a small head. |
![]() |
Whip finish and the fly is ready for those summer caddis hatches. |
