Tie in a small clump of white antron for the gills, whip finish and cut thread. |

Slide bead onto hook with the larger bead hole towards the eyelet. |

Tie on thread and wrap a small red butt on the hook. |

Tie in the red copper wire. This will be used to rib the fly later. |

Tie in the black superfloss and wrap forward to form the body. Pull the superfloss tight to keep the body thin. |

Take the red copper wire and make 5 to 6 wraps, over the body, to form the ribs. |

Tie in one peacock herl and wrap behind the bead to form a small thorax. |

Whip finish and the fly is ready for spring. |
