Wrap lead onto the hook and cover about 2/3 of hook. |

Wrap in thread and secure lead by forming thread dams on both ends of lead. |

Tie in black marabou tail so it is the length of the hook. |
![]() |
Tie in the medium copper wire, which will be used to rib the fly later. |
![]() |
Tie in a burnt orange grizzly hackle by the TIP. This will be used to hackle the body later. |
![]() |
Dub on some green seal fur and wrap forward to form a long, thin body. |
![]() |
Wrap copper wire forward to create about 5 to 6 ribs over the body. |
![]() |
Wrap hackle forward to form 4 hackle segments over body (no more) and then take about 3 wraps of hackle near eyelet to form a bushy head. |
![]() |
Wrap thread around the head hackle so that a tapered head is formed. |
![]() |
One of our most effective "All Around" patterns. Works great in lakes and rivers. The seal fur is what sets this fly apart from all others! |

do you not wrap the hackle before the copper rib for strength? Looks great though.Have you tried it with green krystal flash?
