Maychiron Nymph

Hook: TMC 2487 Size 12 Scud
Thread: 8/0 Olive
Bead: 1/8" Gold
Rib: Small Copper Wire
Body: Black Stretch Flex
Tail: White Mallard
Wing: White Mallard

Slide bead onto hook and tie on thread.

Take a piece of mallard, as long as the hook, and tie in for the tail.

Tie in some small copper wire, which will be used to rib the fly.

Tie in some black stretch flex and stretch tight so it stays thin.

Wrap copper wire forward to form 5 to 6 ribs.

Push bead back and wrap thread in front of bead.

Tie in a mallard wing about ½ the length of the hook.

Whip finish and the fly is ready for your favorite lake.
