Put bead and thread onto hook. |

Tie in about 6 pheasant tail tips for the tail. |

Tie in a piece of fine gold wire for ribbing later. |

Tie in about 8 segments of pheasant tail, by the tips, which will be used for the body. |

Wrap the pheasant tail forward to form a thin, tapered body. |

Make 4 to 5 ribs, over the body, with the fine gold wire. |

Tie in one peacock herl and wrap forward to form the thorax. |

Tie in about 5 mallard tips to form a small wing on the fly. |

Whip finish and the fly is ready for use. |
