| Hook: Size 8 to 12 2x long Streamer Thread: 6/0 black or red Cone: Medium tungsten conehead Tail: Claret Marabou Tail Highlights: Green crystal flash Body: Claret seal fur with red wire |

Slide tungsten cone onto hook and tie on thread. |

Tie in a claret marabou tail, making it hook length. |

Tie in 2 or 3 crystal flash tail highlights. |

Spin a claret seal fur dubbing brush using red wire. |
![]() |
Tie in dubbing brush at rear of hook. |
![]() |
Wrap dubbing brush forward, up to the conehead, to form the body. |

Pick out the dubbing until the red wire starts to show through on the body. |

This fly IS my favorite leech imitation due to it's heavy conehead. You can really make it work like it leech. |

Hi Al,
We have tied a few micro-leeches on past shows and I think we will be adding a 'special' one in the early new year. Please stay tuned and we'll see what we will tie up....we happen to have some good ones :)
