  • Thread: Black Mono
  • Weight: 0.025 Lead Wire
  • Tail: Black Marabou
  • Body: Dark Olive Chenille
  • Rib: Heavy Copper Wire
  • Hackle: Brown Saddle Hackle

Wrap lead around hook to weight fly.

Wrap thread around front and back of lead to hold it in place.

Measure black marabou the length of the hook and tie in for the tail.

Tie in copper wire for ribbing later.

Tie in hackle, by the tip, for palmering up the body later.

Tie in dark olive/black variegated chenille.

Wrap chenille forward to form the body.

Make 6 to 7 ribs on the body with copper wire.

Palmer brown hackle up the body and finish with a nice big black head.
