Using Red thread, tie in a small red butt on the fly.

Tie in 3 to 4 Pheasant Tail fibers and wrap forward halfway up the hook.

Wrap the hackle forward, keeping it very bushy and tie off halfway up the hook.

Again, tie in a dun hackle, by the tip, at the halfway point of the hook.

Tie in 4 to 5 Pheasant Tail fibers and wrap forward to the eyelet.

Wrap the hackle forward, keeping it very bushy and tie off at the eyelet.

Tie in 3 to 4 strands of Green Krystal Flash, the length of the hook, as the underwing.

Tie in a small stacked clump of Deer Hair for the wing. Keep the wing sparse, make sure it is as long as your underwing and trim a small head at the eyelet.

Whip finish, head cement and the fly is ready for those Cutts. This is one of the BEST patterns we have ever used for Cutthroat Trout.
