Summer Promo 2009

Here is a 1 minute promo I just finished editing for the 2009 season. All the footage from this season is shot in spectacular high-definition, and it looks fantastic. Don't forget to 'Post A Comment'.

Looks like quite an improvement in both visual resolution and sound quality.
We will be looking for more in September.

Just want to let you know that I think you have the best fishing show on tv. I really enjoy the bench segment and I think your ability to tie flies is second to none. I watch your show every saturday morning.

Have a great day, and keep up the great work.

Thanks;
Gordon

I look forward to your show each week and plan to visit some of your featured hot spots and a few of my own. Your bench segment has been a great help to me and has improved my skills, as well. Sure anxious to see your new HD series this fall. Keep up the great work!

By far the most educational fly fishing show on tv. I have been watching for several years whenever I can find a station in my area that carried the show. I enjoy the different aspects that are covered. The Bench, The Bugs, The Technology. Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing new episodes.

Don: I think you should get a boat of your own, instead of having to use Brian and Dwayne's all the time. LOL!
See you in October when you and Brian come up? "The plan" is to stay in "The guest house".

hi don,one of the best fishing shows i have ever seen. i'm really impressed with the way you handle the fish regardless of species. alot of the other so called sportfishermen you watch on tv should be watching your show to see the proper way of handling and releasing fish.you and your brother make an excellent fishing team and when you involve brian chan,it just adds more class to an already topnotch show.i watched your show the other day and your brother were catching steelheads and cohos using a purple fly made of rabbit strips and purple chenile. i was wondering if you could email me the recipe for it. thanks and keep up the good work.

Bar none, the best fishing show on TV. Great job on the promotional video!
Can you post the Bulldog fly you were using on dragon lake?

Thanks,

Dan

Don, what can I say that all ready has not been said. Can not wait to see the rest of your web site in Sept. The on line step by step fly tying instruction is second to non. use your website for all my fly tying, keep them coming. Its unfortunate Grant has left the show but your brother the Bulldog is a great replacement for the show. Along with Brian Chan, the 3 of you is all the show needs. Just watching your show and using your selection of flies, made my trip to BC a very successful fishing trip to the Kamloops area. Can not wait to return next year. Thanks Don, great show, keep producing them. you have the best fly fishing show TV has to offer.

Hi Everyone,

Summer is busy for us while we film new HD episodes and spend some quality time with family, so I thought I would say "Hi". Our web guru, Kale Stanchuk, is creating a site like no other out there!!! He is planning some very amazing things when the site come on-line in September like; Complete episodes from previous series; Every 'On The Bench' segment in video and picture format starting with our earliest series, my weekly blog with pictures from our fishing adventures, weekly fly fishing tips throughout the year, technical tips for the camera buffs, just to name a few. Let all your friends know that this will be the site that keeps you informed and educated on the world of fly fishing.

I know its going to be a ground breaking site! I am just happy to be part of it and hope everyone jumps on-board to take advantage of all the FREE information.

Thanks for dropping by and talk with you all next month,

nice work Satch, great quality stuff, can't wait for Sept.being able to watch the shows online will be great(saturdays I'm usually gone fishin)
It's nice of you to take Jack under your wing and show the old guy how to catch fish!

will RSS feed be an option?what about viewing on mobile?(crackberry etc.)

best regards,bruce

August 15, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterBruce TenHoeve

Bruce, there will be RSS feeds for most major categories on the site, as well as feeds for their respective comments sections. As far as mobile viewing, all of the content will be posted on Youtube, which uses flash to display the video, so if your device supports Youtube, you should be ok. I might provide other formats in the future (Quicktime for Iphone for example) but for now it will all be flash / Youtube.

Your show goes above and beyond any other fishing show seen on TV,
From locations where the scenery is spectacular to the bench where the tying is done in a professional way but in laymans terms.
Truly a great great show.
Thanks to you and all your staff and friends that makes all of this possible.
Just wanted you to know you are appreciated.

I watch the show on WFN HD regularly and think it is among the best around. However, I am a novice fly fisherman, but emerging myself in everything I can find to learn more. I enjoy the "from the bench" part of the show even though it will be some time before I get into creating my own flies. I would really like to know more about what exactly you are using on the show such as leader length, line weight, etc. The specifics were covered in a recent show on the Skene River, but not on all shows. Thanks and keep up the work on a great show!

Hi out there - - I caught your show, once, & I have not been able to find it again. I live in Burlington, Ontario. Can you tell me where I can get a schedule of your T.V. show. I am also looking for the correct pattern you call a "Bulldog Fly". Thanks & Good Luck in the future - - - Mel

Your new site is great, I only wish you had more episodes on it. There was one episode where you were fishing the mouth of the south thompson at Chase I was wondering if this episode could be added. I live in the area and have a special interest in the fishing in the area.

Thanks D

The goal is to add a new show every week until we are current with all our new HD footage but this will take some time. I am not sure which series of shows the Adams River was on but it should be posted over the next year. I will check with our web guru to see when this show may be posted.

Thanks for watching and commenting on the new site!

Can't find your great show on TV anymore. Chek TV doesn't carry it anymore! When and where is it now?
