The next time Brian Chan does a stomach pump, would someone take out a turkey baster and do a stomach pump on him. The information is useless to the watchers as no one ever uses flies that iimatate what he sucks out. Maybe at least we'll see what he had for lunch, Your show is the same as all others, The side of yur face, and the fight after you already hooked it. Booorrriiiinnnnggg
Hi Al,
It is good to receive all comments and we are sorry that we couldn't entertain, enlighten, or teach you anything on the show. Believe it or not, people do imitate flies that fish have been feeding on, so hopefully the information will be useful to some viewers. As the saying goes, 'you will not be able to please everyone' and in your case we didn't...sorry.
Thanks for watching, at least, once :)
Hi Don,
I have been fishing for many years and I can honestly say that I find your show very informative and entertaining. Most of my fishing is done on the trout streams of Pennsylvania, but we do get to do some steelhead fishing on lake Erie tribs.
I just watched the show where you and your brother were fishing on the Skeena River. You gave recipe for a "Skeena Crystal Zonker" and you tied it up on the bench. Could you possibly e-mail me the recipe. I think this fly would work on some of those Erie Steelies.
Thanks for the great show.
Hi Paul,
Here is the recipe for the fly:
Skeena Crystal Zonker
Hook: Mustad C70SD Size #2
Thread: 3/0 Red
Bead: 3/16” Hot Orange
Body: Med. Shrimp Pink Chenille
Zonker Back: Purple tipped Pink Rabbit Strips
Hope it works for you and thanks for watching.
I wonder how it is that the show was not good.I have never used a pump, but if someone who is is of Brian Chans stature you think listening and learning might be something of interest. I will have to watch again so I can learn how to do it right. I unlike the host who is required to be nice have to ask is respect not the first order, as you consider this boring I consider your comment lacking in manners and rude, I have never commented before but felt commpelled to do so. To put it right thank you for all the knowledge and entertainment you are great and I enjoy every episode
